Jim Linthicum Invitational Information

De Anza College will host the annual Jim Linthicum Invitational this Friday and Saturday at De Anza Stadium, welcoming a competitive field of collegiate programs, club teams, and unattached athletes from across the region.

The two-day meet will feature a full slate of track and field events, highlighted by a morning distance carnival and a fast-paced afternoon session on Saturday.

Competition begins Friday with select field events, including the pole vault, hammer throw, and shot put, before transitioning into a full day of action on Saturday.

The meet will operate on a rolling schedule designed to keep events moving efficiently and create a smooth competition environment for all athletes.

Saturday's distance carnival opens the day with the women's and men's 5000 meters and 3000-meter steeplechase, setting the tone for a full schedule of running events that begins at 12:00 p.m. with the 4x100 relays and concludes with the 4x400 relays in the afternoon.

De Anza enters the weekend with several standout athletes expected to make an impact on the home track and in the field.

Liam Brennan leads the Mountain Lions in the throws, entering the men's shot put with a top mark of 51-0.5, positioning himself as one of the top competitors in the event.

Genesis Mailangi will be a key contributor in multiple throwing events, entering with strong marks of 139-5 in the discus and 132-4.5 in the javelin, showcasing her versatility and ability to compete at a high level across disciplines.

The Mountain Lions will also be well-represented across distance, sprints, and jumps, with athletes competing throughout the meet as the team continues to build momentum during the outdoor season.

Competing at home provides a valuable opportunity for De Anza athletes to perform in a familiar setting while continuing to progress toward conference and championship competition.

With favorable conditions expected and a deep field of competitors, the Jim Linthicum Invitational is set to deliver a full weekend of high-quality track and field competition.

Competition begins at 12:30 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. Saturday at De Anza College. Admission is free.
