De Anza College track & field carried its early-season momentum into the CSM Bulldog Invitational last Friday, delivering strong performances across sprints, distance, relays, and the throws.

The Mountain Lions were once again led by their throws group, as Ryan McGlashan captured the men's shot put title with a personal-best throw of 15.56 meters. He followed that performance with another win in the discus, throwing 46.77 meters to complete a dominant double on the day.

On the track, De Anza saw a strong showing in the men's 400 meters, where Fabian Oduk placed third overall in 50.88, continuing his progression in the long sprint group.

The men's 4x400 relay also delivered a standout performance, finishing second in 3:29.34. The quartet of Fabian OdukAnthony DiandaIke Weidman, and Aidan Shelley combined for one of the team's top relay marks of the season.

In the distance events, De Anza athletes showed depth and competitiveness. Keaton Wong led the way in the 1500 meters with a third-place finish and a personal-best 4:17.49, while Jerry Dang followed closely in seventh.
Wong also doubled back in the 800 meters, where Anthony Dianda highlighted the group with a fourth-place finish in 2:02.61.

On the women's side, De Anza continued to show strength in the sprint group. 

Junya Zeng ran 59.06 to place second in the 400 meters, with Sarah Morales close behind in 59.58, giving the Mountain Lions two of the top four finishers in the event.

Zeng also contributed in the 200 meters, placing third in 26.53, while Morales added a runner-up finish in 26.45 to lead the team's sprint efforts.

In the women's throws, Genesis Mailangi placed second in the shot put (11.29m) and added another strong performance in the discus with a third-place finish, while also winning the javelin with a throw of 40.35 meters to highlight a versatile day in the field events.

Across the board, De Anza athletes continued to build consistency and depth, posting multiple personal bests and competitive marks as the team progresses deeper into the season.

The Mountain Lions will look to carry this momentum into upcoming meets as they continue preparing for championship competition.
